Cutting Brownies With Cookie Cutter

opens the TEA: Art Space Tenerife

TEA Tenerife Art Space is an architectural complex of approximately 20,622 meters square which houses the contemporary museum Instituto Óscar Domínguez, the Island Library Alejandro Cioranescu and Island Center of Photography Tenerife. In addition, the building has an auditorium, a restaurant, a shop, a public square, many offices and various stores.

This new cultural space, promoted by the Cabildo of Tenerife, is located in the center of the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on the island of Tenerife (Canary , Spain), in the Barranco de Santos, between the market Our Lady of Africa and the Church of the Conception and right next to the Museum of Nature and Man . The building was designed by Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron and directed by the Canary Islands architect Virgilio Gutierrez Herreros .

Its design promotes openness to the outside of its interior spaces, bringing light and dynamism to the whole and connecting the old part of town with the modern. This space contains a public square open and accessible to visitors, whose main function is to conduct the public into the building. We also have a wide spiral staircase that connects to both the upper and the lower.

This space, led by Javier Gonzalez Bilbao Durana , created with the aim of contributing to the flowering of culture, cultural cooperation with various countries, and promotion of young talent on the island.

TEA Access is possible from different parts of the city and a new road that runs diagonally through the building connecting the top of the bridge Serrador with the lower bound of the edge of the precipice of Santos. (Source: wikipedia)

The opening of this space is now October 31 and days 1 and 2 November will have open house from 10:00 to 20:00 ... to see if we can find some room to go
